JK OBSERVATIONS-
A lot depends on the year, engine, transmission and tire size.

'07-'11 3.8L with auto 42RLE- Do not take well to forced induction. The trans is very weak and with the extra power, the trans will overheat and will have problems (lose 3rd gear, late shifting, not shifting, limp mode) and blowup. These Jeeps actually need a 'transmission swap' and none are available, so guys swap in a chevy trans and the V8 comes along with the trans. They need a transmission swap, not an engine swap. Or at the very least, MUST add a larger axillary transmission cooler and deeper trans pan. These transmissions are also very sensitive to the increased load placed on them with larger tires and stock gearing. Re-Gearing back to stock overall ratio will decrease the stress on the trans and decrease the 42RLE failures in Jeeps with these larger tires.  MUST RE-GEAR with 35", 37", 40" tires !

'07-'11 3.8L with 6 speed NSG370- rarer, do well with forced induction, no issues, just need a proper tune and intercooler to keep the Charge Intake Air Temps down.

'12+ 3.6L with 5 speed auto Mercedes V5A580 or 6 speed manual NSG370- are doing well as long as a proper tune and intercooling to keep the Charge Intake Air Temps down.

It is the first group, '07-'11 3.8L Auto Trans, that have done the most forced induction kits and have had most all the problems.

Get the Heat out, Keep it cool, Intercool, don't block the radiator, good tune, and
If you have the 42RLE auto trans- put a cooler on it, and

If you are running bigger tires, 35, 37, 40s- you MUST RE-GEAR.
